01 / Our mission

Every man matters.
Every story can change.

At Dads Go to Prison, we desire to rally fathers from local congregations to get involved in prison ministry.

Many men in prison grew up with an absent or abusive father. Many of these men are also fathers themselves. The answer to this problem is the Lord Jesus Christ!

If fathers will go, the Holy Spirit will work in these men’s lives to transform both fathers and sons whose lives have been affected by incarceration.

Founder

I came to know the Lord at age 19, just six weeks after my father’s death. Because of this, I understand how important it is to have fathers of faith involved in the lives of men whose fathers died when they were young, were poor role models, or were simply absent. When a father is absent or sets a poor example, it can be a difficult road for a man to understand how to live as a husband, father, and son of God the Father.

I am extremely grateful for all the men who have poured into my life over the past 30 years and helped me mature in my faith. I want to do the same for other men, just as God used those men to do for me.

I love my wife and children. What they have done for my life cannot be measured. I know God is the One who has given me these blessings, and I desire to be a blessing in return. To have your family know the Lord and understand His will is no small thing. I could not do this work without the love and support of my family and friends.

This year, I will have either taught or sponsored 125 services at the prison. In 2026, I was humbled to receive the Spirit of Excellence Award at the prison.

“When this man came, he hit the ground running. He started a class on fatherhood in the Compound first. Then, when we needed people to go into the Triangle, he volunteered. When he heard there was an opening in the Annex, he went there also.”
